Yesterday we were visited by Michelle from the Chartwell Cancer Trust, who came in to demonstrate the AV1 No Isolation robots the charity are currently funding for. The robots were created in Norway with the intention of helping poorly children feel like they can still go to school and learn/socialise despite being home-bound due to illness. The robot works as an all eyes and ears replacement for the child, who is able to tune in to the robot in the classroom using an iPad. Naturally the robots are becoming really popular amongst poorly children who want to learn and not feel isolated from society, hence why the charity are fundraising to purchase more.We were really impressed by the concept and delighted to see how our fundraising can help!
